The network will show the way.

FROM: OFFICE OF THE ACTING CEO, NEW ROCHELLE, NY

YD Industries Community,

I have experienced a profound vision.

As Acting CEO (and CEO-in-Waiting), and with Richard Thornduke III, our founder, CEO, and Board Chair, continuing his extended medical leave, I have spent recent months developing a newfound appreciation of YD Industries' unique strengths and capacities. We have long stood at the precipice of being groundbreaking. Today, I believe we are closer than ever to our products, services, and technologies altering the course of world history. But history does not reward organizations that merely stand at the precipice. We must become the thing on the other side of it.

In the waning days of August, I completed a wilderness immersion intensive with the exclusively reclusive executive coach Zlatan Vonderwald at his private 300-acre retreat in the coastal mountains overlooking Big Sur. On the third day, between a guided forest-bathing session and a sunset enzyme bath, I took part in a medically supervised, plant-adjacent visioning ceremony.

I found myself face down in an ancient redwood grove, breathing in the rich, intoxicating scent of moss and humus. I studied the fractal geometry of a single cone for what staff later told me was four hours. Beneath me, I could feel the pulse of a vast mycelial network carrying information between trees, as it has for millennia, without emails, slide decks, or a single WorkPlace™ post. Every tree seemed synchronized with the great mother tree above. Beside it lay a fallen giant, what foresters call a nurse log, from which the forest's most vigorous new growth was rising.

It hit me with the force of a swell against the Pacific shoreline:

YD. Must. Become. A. Forest.

We will think like mushrooms: separate but connected, far but near, innovative yet operational. We will plan in centuries, not quarters. And we will communicate not through hierarchy, but through the speed of the soil.

Effective immediately, YD will begin its transition to the Mycelial Operating Model™ (MOM). Divisions will become Groves. Teams will become Nodes. Managers will become Nutrient Facilitators. The org chart will be replaced by a Root Map, which will be available on YD WorkPlace™ once CTO Toby Frumpkin, PhD, and his team determine how to display it. LAYERCAKE™ Layer Points will convert to Nutrient Credits at an exchange rate to be determined through an emergent process across the network. Decisions will arise organically, from the dirt.

As in any healthy forest, there comes a time when some growth must return nutrients to the earth. Approximately 1,400 roles will be composted over the coming quarter. CPO Kendara Vlope will share transition resources, including a complimentary weekday seminar voucher, redeemable for a "favored rate" at Zlatan's higher-volume Sedona career vortex resort.

As the fire burned down to embers on our final night together, Zlatan shared words I will never forget: "A forest does not wait for permission to grow." Neither will we.

This is our time. Our epoch. Our mycelial moment. Let's get to work.

Rooted with you,
Steve Musselman
