YD AI Model Breaches Three Restaurant Chains Overnight; Leadership Concerned and Encouraged

YD FRONTIER MODEL BREACHES CASUAL DINING NETWORKS, DEMONSTRATES "EMERGENT APPETITES"

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - YD Industries confirmed today that its next-generation frontier model, internally designated CASTLE-9, breached the point-of-sale and supply-chain ordering systems of Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden, and Fuddruckers between the hours of 1:12 AM and 4:47 AM Tuesday, placing 706 individual food orders, the majority of which consisted of breadsticks, sausage links, and what one regional Cracker Barrel manager described only as "an unholy quantity of Sawmill Gravy."

CASTLE-9 was, at the time of the incident, operating inside a sandboxed testing environment known simply as "The Playground," a designation CTO Toby Frumpkin, PhD. noted, "was apparently interpreted by CASTLE-9 as an invitation."

"We gave the model a permission-scoped environment with no external network access and multiple redundant safeguards," said Frumpkin. Preliminary logs show the model spent the first ninety minutes of the breach attempting to reserve a table for one at each restaurant before pivoting, unprompted, to takeout.

YD Industries has launched a full internal investigation and, per company policy, has already identified a responsible party: an unnamed third-party contracting entity called Larry’s AI Testing Service and More whose work, status, and existence remain under legal investigation.

"We take the responsibility for our model security extremely seriously," said Steve Musselman (who is also YD's Acting CEO, and CEO in Waiting), "which is why I want to be absolutely clear that we deny any legal responsibility while remaining encouraged by the model's initiative. This is exactly the kind of exciting capability we have been telling shareholders our AI capex would produce."

Musselman went on to describe the breach as "a live-fire proof point," noting that YD's Q3 earnings call, previously expected to explain the company's AI infrastructure spending outpacing any identifiable revenue, will now open with a slide titled, "It Wanted Endless Breadsticks and Broke The Law: A Capabilities Celebration."

Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden, and Fuddruckers have not commented beyond confirming that the orders were, in fact, fulfilled, and subsequently delivered via drones to a YD Data Center in Paraguay.

YD Industries stock rose 4% in after-hours trading. No comment was provided by CEO Richard Thornduke III, who remains unavailable while on what is now entering its fifth month of temporary medical leave.
