Medieval Games Thursdays are back!

Spring is here at YD Industries, which means it’s time for one of the most eagerly anticipated and time honored employee morale boosting traditions – The Alternate Thursday Lunch Medieval Games! All YD Industries employees are invited to participate starting this Thursday during the lunch hour. This year’s games will include the always popular longsword duel, the crossbow broken copier target challenge, and – new this year – a jousting pole-valut across the duck habitat. Here’s the video invite which just went viral on the YD Industries intranet:

All battles will take place in the employee activity field immediately to Building 37. Any and all members of the public are welcome to spectate by coming to the New Rochelle campus. Medieval dress is welcome and encouraged. Participating YDI employees will be receiving Pizza Cone coupons from YD Industries owned Castle Pounder Restaurants, but members of the public will also be able to dine on Castle Pounder delicacies at the Castle Pounder pop-up in the Northeast Corner of Building 37 (out of the window of conference room 37-J108).

Armor and armaments will not be provided. YDI employees should begin their metal smithing now to be ready for the upcoming tournament. A temporary armor and sword check will be erected in a tent on Parking Lot B for those who don’t want to have to lug their gear from their desks.
